JUDGE RODNEY HUGHES BROOKS
Rodney Hughes Brooks has been a judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County since 1994. He is currently assigned to the Juvenile Justice Division.
Prior to becoming a judge, Brooks was an attorney for 14 years. Between 1980- 1987, he had a diverse general practice that included, but was not limited to criminal defense, domestic relations, juvenile law, paternity, landlord and tenant relations, real estate transactions, advising small businesses, election law, appellate work and a few jury trials. In 1988, he concentrated his practice in Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Law, representing homeowners in mortgage foreclosure matters.
He is a graduate of Northwestern University School of Law and received his undergraduate degree from Grambling State University

LEGAL BACKGROUND:

PERSONAL:
Married to Vicki Hill Brooks of Chicago who is a graduate of Illinois State University
and Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management.
