JUDGE ORVILLE E. HAMBRIGHT
Judge Hambright is a graduate of DePaul University Law School and received his
Bachelor of Science undergraduate degree in Education from Lincoln University in
Missouri.  He was born and raised in Chicago, attending Chicago public schools
and graduating from Hirsch High School.  He was honored by Hirsch High School
in 2006 as the Graduation Day Speaker.

Judge Orville E. Hambright has 35 years of legal experience.  Prior to becoming a
judge in 2005, he was an attorney for 28 years of which 24 years was as a private
practitioner.  His practice included both civil and criminal matters, however, in the
later years of his practice he concentrated in the areas of divorce, probate, juvenile
and real estate.  Judge Hambright was also an Arbitrator with the Mandatory
Arbitration Program of the Circuit Court of Cook County and held the position of
Attorney Examiner/Manager with the Chicago Title and Trust Company.  Judge
Hambright has been recognized and been the recipient of several awards and
Certificates of Appreciation for his service over the years.

Judge Hambright is active in the legal community and with St. Mark United
Methodist Church and was a former Director of the St. Mark Housing Foundation.  
He and his wife, Brenda, have been married for over 40 years and have two adult
daughters and one granddaughter.

Judge Orville E. Hambright has been a judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County
since 2005.  He is currently assigned to the Forcible Entry and Detainer section of
the First Municipal Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County.  He has been found
qualified/recommended by the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois Bar
Association, the Chicago Council of Lawyers and Cook County Bar Association.   A

COMMUNITY AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICE:

Judge Hambright has been an active member of St. Mark United Methodist Church
for over 63 years, serving on several boards and ministries.  He has also been a
panelist for a Continuing Legal Education Seminar where the subject was Forcible
Entry and Detainer Law.  He is a member of the Illinois Judicial Council (Past
Board and Executive Member); Illinois Judges Association; National Bar
Association; Cook County Bar Association (Past Board Member); Chicago Bar
Association; and the Illinois State Bar Association.  He is also a former Director of
the St. Mark Housing Foundation, Inc. and the St. mark Credit Union.  Judge
Hambright has been a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity for over 45 years.

PERSONAL:

Judge Orville Hambright has been a dedicated husband to his wife, Brenda, for
over 40 years and a devoted father to his two adult daughters and one
granddaughter.  He was born and raised in Chicago.
