| Judge William T. O’Brien Date Admitted to Bar: Illinois – 1984 Court: Circuit Court of Cook County Legal Experience: 1985 – 2002: Assistant State’s Attorney, Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. Most recent assignments were Chief, Felony Trial Division (1996 – 1997) and Chief, Narcotics Prosecution Bureau (1998 – 2002) Judicial Experience: Judge O’Brien was elected in November of 2002 and served in the 1st Municipal District from December 2002 to January 2004. In February of 2004 he was assigned to the 2nd Municipal District presiding over traffic citations, ordinance violations, bond hearings, misdemeanor cases, domestic violence cases, preliminary hearings and felony cases. In January 2007 he was transferred to the Criminal Division and assigned to preside over north side City of Chicago felony cases.
